Tokyo is the best place on earth if you’re looking for extraordinary street styles. Especially if you’re hanging out in Shibuya, Harajuku, or Shimokitazawa, the sweet hipster neighborhoods of Japan’s capital city. We met Suzy, the Asian supergirl who owns her very own fashion label, in the spacious streets of Tokyo and photographed her in some quiet back lane.
Suzy and her friends Son, Lilo, and Yukari have their own fashion label called TOKYOGIRL. “TOKYOGIRL is a project and label for cool people,” Suzy tells us. “It’s cool stuff from all over the world. TOKYOGIRL makes your trips through Tokyo much more fun and interesting.” You can their products like colorful merch, long sleeve tees and black caps right here.
“I like the style of M.I.A, Rita Ora, and Natalia Kills,” Suzy tells our photographer Marlen. “I’m focusing on 80’s stuff, mixed elegance and Arabian influences. Actually I get bored easily with outfits, so my favorite pieces are shoes and bags. Rather than one dress. They last longer and I spend more money on them. So a vintage FENDI bag and my MCM clutch are my current favorites. I’ve sent some TOKYOGIRL snapbacks to Lady Gaga before. Oh, and it would also be great if boys would start wearing stuff saying TOKYO GIRL.”
