There are only a few games with really huge communities out there, but multiplayer online battle arena video game “League of Legends” is definitely one of them. By July 2012, League of Legends was the most played PC game in North America and Europe in terms of the number of hours played. As of January 2014, over 67 million people played League of Legends per month, 27 million per day, and over 7.5 million concurrently during peak hours. To illustrate this success, Riot Games publishes a very cool art book.
“We wanted to offer players a deep look into a handful of champions that represent milestones in our artistic growth,” Riot Games tells us. “Along with full-color, oversized print renders of in-game splash art, you’ll find concept art, character studies, and preserved early drafts of characters, all delineated with notes from the artists behind the work.”
The digital version is free to view online. For collectors, a faux-leather hardbound edition features 9.4 mil semi-glossed pages to bring out the truest colors and richest details. Although the print edition, which you can buy right here, is only available in English and Chinese, the digital version is available in all 24 languages supported by League of Legends.
