McDonald’s Japan Releases Matcha Green Tea Cake, Lattes, And Frappes For A Limited Time

So, what’s the greatest thing about Japan? They put matcha in almost everything! What’s matcha? It’s the best thing that has ever happened to humanity! Matcha is finely ground powder of specially grown and processed green tea. It makes you healthy as fuck, and it tastes like heaven. If you don’t have matcha in your life, your life is meaningless. Period.

If you ever go to a McDonald’s café in Japan, try to go there in spring or autumn. In spring, they offer delicious sakura flavored drinks, and in autumn, they often release matcha stuff like green tea cakes, lattes, and frappes, but only for a limited time, so you have to be quick! This year, the menu includes three popular hot and cold beverages which were also available last year.

But, of course, there’s also something new! You can try the fresh Green Tea Cake, which features pretty layers of cocoa sponge interspersed with kanoko red beans and matcha, and the so-called Matcha Chocolate Brownie Frappe, which combines a milky green tea frappe with three pieces of rich chocolate brownie for a luxurious, decadent drink. Oishii! The products are only available for a limited time, at McCafe By Barista stores around the country from 7 September to the beginning of October.
