Red Velvet’s New Song ‘Russian Roulette’ Is Both Cute And Dangerous

Yeah, sure, Asian girl group Red Velvet is one of South Korea’s hottest music exports right now. Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri topped the Gaon Album Chart and the Billboard World Albums Chart with the group’s first full-length album called ‘The Red.’ And now they’re back with their new song ‘Russian Roulette,’ which is both cute and dangerous.

The group’s name represents its concept, defined by two different images portrayed in their music. ‘Red’ signifies their vivid and bold image, whereas ‘Velvet’ reflects their classy and toned-down side. Among their title tracks, ‘Happiness’, ‘Ice Cream Cake’, and ‘Dumb Dumb’ fall under the ‘Red’ concept, while ‘Be Natural’, ‘Automatic’ and ‘7월7일 (One Of These Nights)’ are on the ‘Velvet’ side.

Red Velvet’s second mini album ‘The Velvet’ was intended to be released on March 16, 2016, but ten minutes before its scheduled release, their label announced that the music video and album’s release would be delayed “to guarantee a high quality of work.” Wow. The album will contain seven tracks, with the lead single titled ‘Russian Roulette,’ and it will be released tomorrow.
