When it comes to fashion in all its forms, colours, and glory, Far Eastern metropolis Tokyo is a huge and monstrous universe full of small and big clothing shops, hidden vintage stores, and independent galleries. Old places close and new ones open up all the time, and it’s interesting to see where the cool kids of Japan’s capital city really hang out.
One of the new stores in town is called Banny and it opened its doors just recently in the heart of Shibuya, one of Tokyo’s nicest districts when it comes to fashion, music, and pop culture in general. Of course we insisted on being a part of Banny’s store opening night, to see some good friends and the shop’s quite fashion-conscious visitors. And there was pizza!
Banny is part vintage and part new stuff from around the world. Magazines, sneakers, bags, even toothpaste. You can follow their owners on Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr. And if you’re in Tokyo, just head to the Meiji-jingumae Station. It’s right next to a Family Mart, where you also can get sushi and beer. That’s always a good combination. Have fun!
