If you think about Japanese television, you automatically have totally crazy game shows in your head where half-naked business men are trying to save a pink painted orange out of an electrocuted transparent shark tank while members of some J-pop band are laughing histerically in the background, just to win some yen to cover the lost pride. Wow, what’s up with my brain today?
Truth is: Most part of Japanese television is just food shows, not too exciting news, and documentaries about mountains, cars – and more food. But there’s still hope to see a much more funnier part of Japanese culture. The secret is: television commercials. If you think your local ads are totally humorous and witty, think again. They’re not. The king of TV ads is Japan. Undefeated.
So, what do we have here? A Yeti loving coke fighter in the desert. Some dancing ice cream boy group. A very brave business girl. A trippy Kyary Pamyu Pamyu train. A magical forest. Angry knights in the city. A talking dog. Huge monsters. Horny captains. Big boobed mothers. Singing mountain climbers. Hard-working Japanese folks. Little baseball players. Rebellious kitties. Love it.
