So, you voted to leave the European Union yesterday, and you’re waking up to the great news today that you and you companions won, and you open your first beer, and then truth hits you: Wow, the whole Brexit thing was a huge lie of people making you promises they could never ever keep. And it’s too late for you and your whole country. Congratulations!
Nigel Farage, leader of the UK Independence Party, headed to “Good Morning Britain” just a few hours ago to celebrate his victory over the all those stupid Remain voters. Problem was, though, Susanna Reid confronted him with his official Leave campaign adverts on posters and buses that claimed: “Let’s give our NHS the £350 million the EU takes every week” and “We send the EU £350 million a week, let’s fund our NHS instead.” Now the Ukip leader said he could not guarantee it would be possible. Wow.
Susanna Reid, questioning Nigel Farage, asked: “That’s why many people have voted! You’re saying after 17 million people have voted for Leave – and that was a huge part of the propaganda.” That promise was a “mistake,” Nigel answered. It seems Susanna realized at this particular moment how Britons were tricked into leaving the EU by false promises and wrongful claims.
