No doubt, “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” is my favorite game of 2015, and with its first expansion pack “Hearts of Stone”, which brought us more monsters, more stories, and more unforgettable characters, it became a legendary and epic treasure for gaming history’s eternity. Only a handful of other games got so deep into my heart than this single one.
Today CD Projekt RED announced the release date for their new, final and probably best expansion called “Blood and Wine”, which launches on May 31. “It’s Geralt’s final mission”, Game Director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz tells us. “Containing more than 90 new quests, and over thirty hours of brand new adventures. There’s also a massive amount of features we’re giving gamers with this expansion like a dynamic Point of Interest system, a new GWENT deck, new endgame mutation mechanics, and even a place Geralt can call home… And it’s all happening in a new region as big as No Man’s Land in the base game.”
I’m currently in my second playthrough after I screwed up the first one so badly that I almost cried at the end. And I hope I will finish it before “Blood and Wine” launches at the end of the month. Geralt, you’re one of the most important video game characters in my life. And I will miss you. Hopefully “Blood and Wine” will be a glorious finale to your tremendous story.
