Let’s see. FAKY, Yup’in and FEMM, some of Japan’s hottest music groups, come together to unite in a new project called FAMM’IN. They just released their first EP and the debut track is called “Circle“. If you think about it as this typical J-Pop sound of cute girls jumping around in their school uniforms you are dead wrong. So wrong. Nope. Okay, except the part with the girls.
“Circle“, ladies and gentlemen, is not a song per se, but more like a seven-minute-long meditation session, full of traditional Japanese instrumentation and people who look like they came straight from a kind of robotic future. And the video has balloons in it, guys, balloons, red balloons! Every music video should have red balloons in it. Every single one of them.
There are no live shows announced yet, not even in Japan, but that should be only a question of time. Until then, you can take a look at what FAKY, Yup’in and FEMM have to offer when they’re trying to change the world of music all by themselves. Or you can just play “Circle” on repeat for the next couple of months and tell us if you found some kind of inner paradise by doing so.
