A couple of years ago I thought I’d never need anything else than my computer. A keyboard, a screen and as much power as possible. Power, yes, power. But the years went by and I realized one thing: Power isn’t the most important part of my workflow, it’s mobility. It’s the privilege to work anywhere in the world. When I want it, where I want it, how I want it.
The introduction of the new 9.7-inch Apple iPad Pro seems to emphasize my thought and shows me that the most creative minds are also the ones who put freedom above everything else. The new iPod Pro starts at $599 for a base model, and goes up to $899 for a 256GB model. Okay, plus the Apple Pencil. And the keyboard. It’s not cheap. But it’s a reasonable price for a professional work tool.
The new 9.7‑inch iPad Pro also has a True Tone display. It uses sensors to automatically adapt the color and intensity of the display to match the light in your environment. And its 64-bit A9X chip is not just powerful but also enables up to 10 hours of battery life. A couple of years ago I thought I’d never need anything else than my computer.
