Sandy Kim is, without any doubt, one of my favorite photographers of our generation. Right next to people like, I don’t know, Ryan McGinley, Keiichi Nitta and, yeah, also Terry Richardson. Please don’t hit me for Terry. And who knew, Sandy’s also a model. Kind of. For example when she wore the new capsule capsule collaboration by Babylon LA and P.A.M..
Sandy came into the public eye a few years ago when Girls, a San Francisco band she had befriended and was photographing religiously, started to make it big. Suddenly her photos were everywhere. Sandy draws inspiration from her glamorously edgy world, whether she is documenting friends in day-to-day adventures or putting some now deleted porn video clip onto the web.
Babylon LA‘s and P.A.M.‘s limited coop on the other hand features a selection of monochromatic tees in both short-sleeve and long-sleeve variations. Emblazoned with “Pambylon” branding and some more graphics. Black and white caps are also a part of the capsule collaboration, which can be bought right here. Or here. Or wherever you buy your totally super hip new clothes.
