Halloween is over, but this boring little fact shouldn’t hold you back from taking a look at the outrageous costumes Tokyo‘s youth wore to celebrate this spooky loud holiday. The biggest Halloween party in Japan took place right in the middle of Shibuya with hundreds of thousands of costumed people, celebrating from noon till dawn.
Members of the famous Japanese street style website Tokyo Fashion tried to capture the best costumes this year. Bloody school girls, screaming zombies, Sailor Moon and her friends – and even a group of irritating Super Mario lookalikes. Visiting Tokyo on Halloween is like jumping into a spooky dream full of pop culture references, cosplay and colors.
Even if you’re no big fan of Halloween or just stressed out of those fat little trick or treat fuckers jumping around your lawn and demanding more chocolate than they’ll ever eat in their whole life, get a ticket to Tokyo next autumn and celebrate the spookiest holiday of them all (well, after Christmas, I guess) with a bunch of nerdy folks. Maybe you’ll fall in love. With everything.
