Although I lived in Tokyo for a couple of months, there are so many things left to do in the Japanese capital city. One of those things on my to-do list is definitely a visit to this cool hostel, which looks exactly like a comfy bookstore. At Book and Bed Tokyo, you can fall asleep with any of the books the hostel has to offer. Or magazines. Or manga, if you prefer those.
One night at the location in Ikebukuro, which is a commercial and entertainment district in Tokyo’s Toshima City, costs around $40, if you choose the “standard” plan, or $30, if you choose “compact”. Ikebukuro is also home to many ethnic Chinese who arrived in the 1980s, leading to a variety of Chinese goods and services, which are popular among tourists interested in Chinese culture.
So if you want to stay at a very special place and Tokyo and don’t want to invest your money in a fancy hotel, a expensive Airbnb flat or one of those small gaijin apartments, then you should check out the Book and Bed Tokyo website to get more information about the cool hostel. Maybe you’ll stay long enough to finish the whole Harry Potter series again? Who knows!
