Hooray, weed fetishists finally have their own version of Tinder, thanks to a new dating app called High There, proudly being developed in Colorado. And the software is not only for flirting at all, it could also, for example, help cancer patients meet other users of medical marijuana. That doesn’t sound bad at all, does it? Find love and good company, right on the Internet.
“We wanted to build a cool piece of technology that solved the problem of where do million and millions of cannabis consumers go to meet people, connect with people and build relationships,” founder Todd Mitchem told Mashable. “A lot of people say we’re the Tinder of weed, but that’s only one facet of the whole thing. It’s so much bigger.”
Before users start swiping they’ll need to fill out some basic profile information about how they like to consume weed. They can specify whether they smoke, eat, or vaporize their holy plants. The app can be downloaded right here for both iOS and Android. However, it’s only available in the 23 states where marijuana is legal, decriminalised or can be used for medical purposes.
