I’m gonna be honest here… I really don’t care about Apple Watch. It seems like a nice gadget for people who think they need something like that right now, without noticing they don’t need something like that at all. But at today’s Keynote CEO Tim Cook announced a little treasure, which is thin, light, powerful – and I want it right now!
You have to know one thing about me: I’m married to my MacBook Pro. I bought mine in 2011, we travelled around the world, together, London, New York, Tokyo. Imagine one of those cute movie montages, where we jump around various cities, hand in hand, with ice-cream and shopping bags and the sun smiling at us. Like in a perfect life.
The new MacBook has a new, pressure-sensitive Force Touch trackpad, an all-new, full-size keyboard that’s been reengineered from the ground up and the thinnest Retina display ever on a Mac meant refining it at every level. For $1599 you’ll get the one with a 12-inch Retina display, 1.2GHz Intel Core M, Intel HD Graphics 5300, 8GB memory and 512GB of flash storage.
For a few bucks less, you can purchase the slimmed down edition of the new Mac Book, also in gold, silver or grey, available in April. If you’re more into the MacBook Pro or the MacBook Air, they’re also available in newer versions. I for one would love to get my hands on the new MacBook – but only, if it’s available with a 15-inch Retina display. That would be great…
